Summary
LayoffNext is an educational employer-workflow and employee-transition support platform operated by Wealth Building Academy LLC. It provides checklists, templates, calculators, branded portals, and aggregate reporting — not legal, financial, tax, HR, employment, immigration, insurance, payroll, or medical advice. By using the platform you agree to these terms.
1. Introduction
LayoffNext (“LayoffNext,” the “Platform”) is operated by Wealth Building Academy LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the website at LayoffNext.com or any related services, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the website or services.
2. Definitions
- •“LayoffNext” — the website, platform, tools, and services operated by Wealth Building Academy LLC.
- •“Company” — Wealth Building Academy LLC, the operator of LayoffNext.
- •“Employer” — an organization or its authorized representatives using the Employer Dashboard.
- •“Employee” — an individual invited to an Employee Portal by an Employer.
- •“User” — any person who accesses the Platform, including Employers and Employees.
- •“Platform” — the LayoffNext website, dashboards, portals, tools, and related services.
- •“Transition Event” — a workforce transition configured by an Employer within the Platform.
- •“Employee Portal” — the branded employee-facing support experience tied to a Transition Event.
- •“Employer Dashboard” — the employer-facing workspace for setup, invites, resources, and reporting.
- •“Content” — text, templates, checklists, calculators, resources, software, and materials on the Platform.
- •“Services” — all features and functionality made available through the Platform.
3. Services Provided
LayoffNext may provide, in whole or in part, the following:
- •Employer transition workflows
- •Company transition checklists
- •Branded employee support portals
- •Employee invite management
- •Compassionate email templates
- •Country-specific educational resource packs
- •Resume and career resources
- •Financial planning calculators
- •Interview preparation tools
- •Transition resource library
- •Aggregate engagement reporting
- •Impact report downloads
- •Contact and demo scheduling
- •Payment checkout
Features may be offered as demo, beta, or pilot functionality and may change or be discontinued at any time.
4. Educational and Informational Use Only
LayoffNext provides educational and informational workflow tools and transition resources. The Platform does not provide legal, financial, tax, insurance, employment, immigration, unemployment, payroll, HR compliance, medical, or mental health advice, and does not review severance agreements. Content is general in nature and may not apply to your specific circumstances. You should review all workforce transition decisions, employee communications, legal notices, payroll decisions, benefits information, severance terms, and country-specific matters with qualified HR, legal, payroll, benefits, tax, insurance, immigration, employment, or other appropriate professionals.
5. Employer Responsibilities
Employers are solely responsible for:
- •Legal compliance in their jurisdiction(s)
- •Employment and selection decisions
- •Severance documents and terms
- •Final pay and payroll/tax compliance
- •Benefits communications and accuracy
- •All employee communications
- •Reviewing decisions with qualified professionals
- •Not uploading or requesting sensitive employee information unnecessarily
- •Ensuring lawful use of the Platform in their jurisdiction
6. Employee Responsibilities
Employees are responsible for:
- •Reviewing information independently
- •Consulting qualified professionals before making decisions
- •Not relying solely on LayoffNext for legal, financial, tax, insurance, employment, immigration, unemployment, medical, or mental health decisions
- •Protecting their login credentials and portal access links
- •Providing accurate information if they choose to use the tools
7. No Professional or Special Relationship
Your use of the Platform does not create any attorney-client, advisor-client, fiduciary, employment, insurance, medical, or agency relationship between you and Wealth Building Academy LLC. LayoffNext does not replace attorneys, HR professionals, tax advisors, benefits brokers, payroll providers, financial advisors, mental health professionals, or insurance professionals.
8. No Guarantees
LayoffNext makes no guarantee of, and does not warrant:
- •Compliance with any law or regulation
- •Job placement, interviews, or offers
- •Any financial outcome
- •Any severance outcome
- •Benefits eligibility
- •Unemployment approval
- •Visa or immigration outcomes
- •Any legal outcome
- •Reduction of employer risk
- •Employee satisfaction
9. Payments and Pricing
Current event-based pricing (subject to change):
- •Starter Portal: $299 minimum, includes up to 5 employees
- •Growth Portal: $499, includes up to 10 employees
- •Team Transition Portal: $999, includes up to 25 employees
- •Additional employee: $50 each
Prices may change. Payments may be processed by Stripe or other third-party processors. Access and setup may require successful payment. Refunds are discretionary unless required by law or stated in a separate written agreement. For pilot or custom deals, a written agreement may override general website pricing.
10. Account Access and Security
Users are responsible for maintaining the security of their accounts and access credentials. We may suspend or restrict access in cases of misuse, fraud, security risk, nonpayment, or violation of these terms.
11. Employer Data and Employee Privacy
Employers receive aggregate and resource-engagement metadata only. Private employee inputs — such as resume text, resume review content, financial calculator inputs, private financial outputs, personal notes, and private planning answers — are designed not to be visible to Employers. Employers agree not to misuse the Platform to collect sensitive or private employee information. See our Privacy Policy for details.
12. Acceptable Use
Users may not:
- •Use the Platform unlawfully
- •Upload harmful, malicious, or infringing content
- •Attempt unauthorized access to systems or data
- •Reverse engineer the Platform
- •Scrape or harvest data
- •Misrepresent Platform content as legal or compliance advice
- •Use the Platform to discriminate against, harass, or retaliate against any person
- •Upload highly sensitive personal data unless specifically requested by a supported feature
13. Intellectual Property
LayoffNext content, templates, calculators, design, software, and brand are owned by Wealth Building Academy LLC or its licensors. Users receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and use the Platform for its intended purpose.
14. User Content
Users retain ownership of content they submit. By submitting content, you grant LayoffNext a license to process it as needed to provide the Services. You must not submit content you do not have the rights to submit.
15. Third-Party Services
The Platform relies on third-party vendors, which may include Stripe (payments), Supabase (database/auth), Brevo (email), Calendly (scheduling), analytics tools, and hosting providers. LayoffNext is not responsible for third-party services, their availability, or their handling of data under their own terms.
16. Availability and Changes
The Platform may change, be interrupted, or be discontinued at any time. Some features may be offered as demo, beta, or pilot functionality and may not be complete or fully supported.
17. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Wealth Building Academy LLC and its affiliates, officers, employees, and licensors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the Platform. The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the extent permitted by law. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
18. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Wealth Building Academy LLC from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising from your misuse of the Platform, unlawful use, content you upload, employment decisions, compliance failures, or violation of these terms.
19. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access at our discretion, including for violation of these terms. You may stop using the Platform at any time or contact us to request account closure or deletion.
20. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles, except where superseded by mandatory applicable law.
21. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
